Jake Odorizzi K's Eight, Takes No-Decision
6 years agoMinnesota Twins right-hander Jake Odorizzi pitched extremely well against the Kansas City Royals on Sunday but had to settle for a no-decision. Odorizzi spun six innings of one-run ball, striking out eight and allowing just three base runners but his offense provided just three runs of support in the ballgame. Odorizzi is now sitting on a 4-6 record, 4.37 ERA, 1.39 WHIP, and 113 strikeouts in 107 innings of work this season. Odorizzi could possibly be flipped to a contender at the July 31 trade deadline if the Twins decide to be sellers, which looks likely. He will look to keep it up in his next start, which will come against the Boston Red Sox on Friday.
