6 years agoHouston Astros infielder/outfielder Marwin Gonzalez has begun the second half of his season on a high note by posting hits in each of his first three games played. Gonzalez endured a miserable first half, slashing .230/.305/.355 with 22 extra-base hits after posting a .308/.391/.576 line with 28 extra-base hits during the first half of 2017. But Gonzalez went 4-for-9 over the weekend with two doubles, three walks and three runs scored against the Angels. It may be hard to envision Gonzalez reverting back to the player he was in 2017 but the switch-hitter's versatilty on defense will keep in the Houston lineup moving forward.--Joey C - RotoBaller
