6 years agoHouston Astros starter Gerrit Cole struck out nine hitters while allowing only two runs in 6 1/3 innings Tuesday night against the Rockies. Cole now has struck out at least eight hitters in 15 of his 21 starts this season. The right-hander has been dominant all season and his WHIP still sits at an impressive 0.98. He currently is striking out a career-best 12.43 batters per nine innings and has 186 K's through only 133 2/3 innings this season. The 27-year-old is having a career year and is on pace to strike out 263 batters this season.--Joey C - RotoBaller
