Scooter Gennett Enjoys Big Game Sunday
6 years agoCincinnati Reds second baseman Scooter Gennett turned in a big game against the Philadelphia Phillies on Sunday. The All-Star went 2-for-4 with a two-run homer and even chipped in a rare steal. Gennett is now batting .319 with an .879 OPS, 17 homers, 64 runs, 67 RBI, and three steals. There have been mixed reports about whether the Reds will move him ahead of the trade deadline on July 31 or sign him to a contract extension. Regardless of where he's playing after Tuesday, Gennett has established himself as a top second baseman in fantasy and should remain locked into lineups going forward.
