Mitch Garver Rips Walk-Off Double
6 years agoMinnesota Twins catcher Mitch Garver was the hero on Monday as he ripped a walk-off double in the bottom of the ninth inning to down the AL Central-leading Cleveland Indians 5-4. Garver finished the night 2-for-4 at the plate with a run and one RBI. The young backstop has performed well since taking over as the starting catcher, hitting .269 with a .760 OPS, five homers, 23 runs, and 22 RBI in 201 at-bats. He's hitting .316 over the past 30 days and is a solid fantasy catcher if your squad needs an upgrade at that position. Garver will face off against Indians right-hander Trevor Bauer on Tuesday.
