7 years agoWashington Nationals general manager Mike Rizzo said that outfielder Bryce Harper won't be traded. "Bryce is not going anywhere. I believe in this team," Rizzo said. The Nats had deals "lined up" for multiple players, including Harper, but the sense is that ownership pulled the plug late Monday night, according to The Washington Post's Jorge Castillo. The team is still in third in the National League East but aren't out of it by any means. Harper has underwhelmed with his .220 average, but he still has 25 home runs, 62 RBI and eight steals. He'll finish out the final few months of his contract in Washington.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
