7 years agoThe Oakland Athletics activated infielder Chad Pinder (elbow) from the disabled list on Tuesday. Shortstop prospect Franklin Barreto was optioned to Triple-A Nashville in a corresponding move. Pinder will return to a .259/.332/.453 line with 10 homers and 23 RBI on the season. He can be useful in AL-only leagues and DFS formats against lefties, as he's batting .286 with five homers against them this year. Barreto has been decent in his first taste of MLB action, batting .246 with four home runs and 13 RBI in 61 at-bats. He's the shortstop of the future in Oakland.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
