7 years agoCleveland Browns rookie wide receiver Antonio Callaway, who was cited for marijuana possession and a suspended license on Sunday, recently had his car shipped to Ohio from Florida and hadn't used it in a while, according to a league source. Others had used his car recently and Callaway agreed to let police search his vehicle while not realizing marijuana was in it. Callaway was promoted to the first-team offense on Monday after the club traded Corey Coleman to the Bills, but Callaway did not notify the team of his citation. The Browns viewed Callaway, who also failed a drug test at the NFL combine, as a first-round target, but he slipped to the fourth round due to off-field issues. He impressed in minicamp and early in training camp, enough so that the Browns felt Coleman was expendable. It's extremely bad timing for the rookie and could result in a suspension from the league. Callaway's upside is intriguing, mainly in dynasty/keeper leagues in 2018. If he starts the year suspended, Rashard Higgins could have an expanded role behind Josh Gordon and Jarvis Landry.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
