7 years agoToronto Blue Jays infielder Lourdes Gurriel (knee, ankle), who was hurt on a takeout slide 10 days ago, took ground balls Tuesday and has been taking swings in the cages. He's expected to be out anywhere from two to six weeks. His injury was a real bummer for fantasy owners, as Gurriel was in the middle of an 11-game hitting streak that saw him bat .500 with three home runs, nine RBI and seven runs scored. He's worth holding onto in most leagues, as he should return to everyday playing time when he's ready.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
