7 years agoThe Minnesota Twins placed starting pitcher Adalberto Mejia (wrist) on the 10-day disabled list on Friday with a left wrist strain and recalled reliever Tyler Duffey and infielder Tyler Austin from Triple-A Rochester in corresponding moves. Mejia has been great for the Twins in five outings (four starts) with a 2.01 ERA, but his 5.24 K/9 and .239 BABIP against in a small sample size should make you worry. Expect him to be back in the rotation when he's ready. Duffey will likely pitch in low-leverage situations, so he can be avoided. Austin hit just .223/.280/.471 with eight homers and 23 RBI in 34 games with the Yankees, but he could be an AL-only option against left-handers.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
