7 years agoThe Chicago Cubs will skip pitcher Mike Montgomery's next start in the rotation. He will make his next start next Saturday against the Pirates and will be available out of the bullpen this weekend. The southpaw swingman has been solid for the Cubs, going 4-4 with a 3.66 ERA and 1.34 WHIP, although his career-low 5.5 K/9 leaves something to be desired. With Yu Darvish (biceps) working his way back, Montgomery might not be long for the rotation, which will seriously hurt his fantasy value the rest of the way.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
