Ervin Santana Allows Five Runs Friday
6 years agoMinnesota Twins right-hander Ervin Santana struggled with the home run ball yet again on Friday. Starting against the Detroit Tigers, Santana allowed five runs in six innings of work with four of those runs coming on a pair of two-run homers. Since being activated from the disabled list, Santana has struggled to keep the ball in the park in his three starts, coughing up six home runs in 20 2/3 innings of work. Overall, Santana has a 0-1 record, 6.53 ERA, and 14 strikeouts this year. He missed the first four months of the season after having finger surgery in February. He can remain on waivers until he shows he is in midseason form.
