6 years agoBoston Red Sox starter Nathan Eovaldi was bullied by the Baltimore Orioles bats on Friday night. After throwing 15 scoreless innings through his first two starts with the Red Sox, Eovaldi only went 2 2/3 innings against the Orioles. He gave up eight runs (four earned) on ten hits while striking out zero and walking two. Thankfully, the Red Sox offense allowed him to escape with a no-decision. To be fair to Eovaldi, it was simply a bad night to be on the mound as nine of the 12 pitchers that appeared in the game gave up at least one run. Eovaldi will take his 5-4 record and 3.74 ERA into his next start which projects to be against the Tampa Bay Rays on Friday. Expect better results.--Raymond Harrison - RotoBaller
