Joey Votto Leaves With Apparent Injury Monday
6 years agoCincinnati Reds first baseman Joey Votto left Monday night's game against the Cleveland Indians in the sixth inning with what appears to be an injury. According to the Cincinnati Enquirer's Bobby Nightengale, Votto had appeared to be limping earlier in the game. The star first baseman went 1-for-3 with a double and a walk before being replaced in the field by Curt Casali heading into the top of the seventh inning. Votto missed several games last week after getting hit on the knee by a pitch, although it isn't clear if that is what caused him to leave early on Monday or if there is another issue. Stay tuned for updates.
