6 years agoDetroit Lions quarterback Matthew Stafford has been at the helm of the franchise since 2009. Over the last seven seasons, Stafford has started every game for the Lions and has thrown for at least 4,200 yards and 20 touchdowns. While the talent hasn’t always been around him, he has finished in the top nine in passing every year since 2011. However, Matt Patricia is now the head coach in Detroit and according to Peter King, “the days of living and dying with Matthew Stafford are over.” The team has a stable of running backs with Ameer Abdullah and Theo Riddick returning, LeGarrette Blount was signed in the offseason and Kerryon Johnson was drafted in the second round this year. It seems that Patricia wants to make the team less one-dimensional, which could affect the volume Stafford has seen over his career.--Steve Janik - RotoBaller
