7 years agoColorado Rockies infield prospect Garrett Hampson was recalled from the minors on Tuesday. Relief pitcher Scott Obert was put on the paternity list in a corresponding move. Hampson does have six hits in his first 20 at-bats (.300) in the major leagues, but he's not likely to be up long or play much. He's the team's No. 4 prospect, and Hampson was hitting a cool .314 with 10 home runs, 39 RBI and 34 stolen bases in 101 games between Double-A Hartford and Triple-A Albuquerque this year.
