6 years agoSeattle Mariners ace James Paxton (forearm) was placed on the 10-day disabled list on Wednesday afternoon. Paxton suffered the injury on Tuesday night against the Oakland Athletics when he was struck by a Jed Lowrie liner. The injury does not seem all that severe, so Paxton should be able to spend around the minimum on the DL. Felix Hernandez should step back into the rotation in his absence. Hernandez has been a rollercoaster this season, culminated by his recent demotion to the bullpen. He has an 8-11 record with a 5.82 ERA on the year.
