7 years agoSan Francisco Giants relief pitcher Hunter Strickland (hand) will throw in back-to-back games with Triple-A Sacramento for the first time and is eligible to come off the disabled list on Saturday. He's nearing a return, but it's unknown if he'll boot Will Smith out of the closer's role upon his return. Those desperate for saves should hang onto Strickland or pick him up if he's available just in case. The right-hander had a 2.84 ERA, 1.23 WHIP, 8.2 K/9 and 13 saves before his injury.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
