6 years agoBoston Red Sox first baseman Mitch Moreland delivered three RBI in a 7-4 loss to the Phillies on Wednesday evening. Moreland was just 1-for-5 at the plate, but his one hit was a bases-clearing double in the third inning. Moreland has really struggled with the bat over his past 30 games. While he still has 21 RBI over that span, he is batting only .179 with 27 strikeouts. His exposure to a loaded Red Sox lineup makes him a tantalizing fantasy option, but there are better options out there in shallow leagues. Unless he goes on a monster hot streak, he is a droppable bat in leagues of 10 teams or less.--Raymond Harrison - RotoBaller
