7 years agoNew England Patriots running backs Rex Burkhead and Sony Michel (knee) are not expected to play in the preseason game against the Eagles on Thursday. The Patriots are just being cautious here, and Michel might not play at all in the preseason. That'll obviously hurt his fantasy stock going into the season in what'll be a tough-to-predict committee approach for head coach Bill Belichick. Burkhead is the safest back out of this backfield, but he'll also share touches frequently with James White. Wide receiver Kenny Britt (hamstring) is also expected to sit out Thursday.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
