7 years agoThere are hints from people around Los Angeles Dodgers shortstop Manny Machado that he may prefer the Yankees in free agency this winter. One of his friends went as far as to say that Machado would easily give up shortstop to play in New York. Multiple people say that Machado and his family, who are from Miami, prefer the East Coast. However, the Yankees are currently set at shortstop and third base with Didi Gregorius and rookie Miguel Andujar, respectively. New York could also extend Gregorius. With all that said, the Phillies may have the best chance to sign Machado after they made a run at him at this year's trade deadline. What we do know is Machado is a fantasy beast and is hitting .306 with 26 home runs, 72 RBI, 12 stolen bases and 59 runs scored in 2018.
