BALLER MOVE: Add in 12+ Team Leagues
OWNED IN: 46% of leagues
ANALYSIS: Los Angeles Angels relief pitcher Blake Parker appears to be the man to own for saves in Los Angels for the remainder of the season. He has held off Cam Bedrosian, Kenyan Middleton, and Jim Johnson for saves throughout the season and the 32-year-old has fared well. Through 55 innings, Parker is 2-1 with 12 saves and a 3.27 ERA.
Since the beginning of July, Parker only has three saves, but two of them have come in the last week. He allowed an earned run on August 13, and has a 3.68 ERA in his 14 2/3 innings since the beginning of July, but he also has punched out 14 batters. Parker has had some home run issues (four in his last 14 2/3 innings), but he has also not walked a batter in August and has walked just four batters since June 17.
Saves are a precious asset in fantasy baseball (unless you are in a saves+holds league), so Parker's potential to get saves in Los Angeles make him a must-add. This is also not a fluky season for Parker, as the righty had a 2.54 ERA and eight saves for the Angels in 2017.
