7 years agoSeattle Mariners pitcher Felix Hernandez, who was recently demoted to the bullpen for the first time in his illustrious career, will start in James Paxton's place on Monday against the Astros. Paxton isn't expected to be out long, so King Felix might make just one or two more starts maximum before returning to a relief role. The veteran right-hander has had a tough go of it this year as he continues to decline, going 8-11 with a 5.62 ERA, 1.43 WHIP and career-low 7.0 K/9 in 24 outings (23 starts).
