6 years agoAtlanta Braves starter Sean Newcomb was dinged for seven earned runs through 5 1/3 innings on Friday against the Colorado Rockies. Newcomb allowed nine hits, walked three, and struck out five. The poor performance put his record to 10-6 on the season and rose his ERA to 3.73. Newcomb was great for the majority of the year, but he has allowed 12 runs in his last 9 1/3 innings. He is still a serviceable fantasy starting pitcher in all leagues and he should fare better against the Pittsburgh Pirates on Wednesday.--Raymond Harrison - RotoBaller
