7 years agoNew York Jets rookie quarterback Sam Darnold received the bulk of the repetitions at practice on Sunday and is the likely starter for the third preseason game this week. Barring a bad performance this week, ESPN New York's Rich Cimini gets the impression that Darnold is the leading candidate to start in Week 1. Darnold took a slight step back against the Redskins last week, but he's been poised in the pocket and has the most upside out of Josh McCown and Teddy Bridgewater.
