7 years agoDetroit Lions head coach Matt Patricia said running back Ameer Abdullah has made strides in his ball security despite fumbling twice on Friday in the preseason game. Abdullah fumbled a handoff on the second offensive play and muffed a kickoff later in the first half, but the team recovered both fumbles. In 2015, Abdullah lost playing time after fumbling five times. Abdullah should make the final roster, but he's at best fourth on the depth chart behind LeGarrette Blount, rookie Kerryon Johnson and third-down back Theo Riddick.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
