Jamison Crowder Back On The Practice Field
6 years agoWashington Redskins wide receiver Jamison Crowder (groin) returned to the practice field after missing a week of action due to a nagging groin injury. He worked out in pads and a helmet on Sunday, and it's possible he might be ready for the all-important third preseason game, or dress rehearsal, Friday night when the Denver Broncos pay a visit to FedEx Field. Crowder is projected to be the top receiver on the Redskins and he'll rack up plenty of receptions for those in PPR formats. The former standout for coach David Cutcliffe at Duke has been durable, too, playing in 47 of a possible 48 games in his three NFL seasons, while averaging 64 grabs per campaign. His touchdowns tailed off in 2017, scoring just three times after finding the end zone on seven occasions in 2016, and his catch/target percentage declined for a second straight campaign, too. However, he was also targeted a career-high 103 times in '17. Keep in mind he is jelling with a new QB with Alex Smith taking the reins, but he'll still be a solid low-end WR2 or flex play in standard formats, too.
