6 years agoBuffalo Bills quarterback AJ McCarron (collarbone) received good news Monday when it was revealed he does not have a hairline fracture of the collarbone. He is now considered day to day and will return to the practice field once the soreness decreases, although he is in considerable pain and it's uncertain when that return will come. It's another twist in the interesting Buffalo Bills starting quarterback race. Rookie Josh Allen has been tabbed as the starter for Sunday's game against the Cincinnati Bengals, but perhaps McCarron will now be able to suit up against his former employer. That certainly didn't look possible even a day ago. The Week 1 starter is still to be determined. McCarron has the most short-term fantasy appeal, while Allen is the obvious long-term option in Buffalo. Stay tuned.--Daniel Dobish
