Titans Dealing With Several Injuries On D
6 years agoThe Tennessee Titans placed cornerback Kalan Reed (foot) on the Reserve/Injured list Monday due to a small broken bone in his foot, a league source said. The team also placed cornerback Tye Smith (upper body) on the IR due to what is believed to be an arm or shoulder injury. It has been a rough training camp for Tennessee, as they also lost starting safety Johnathan Cyprien (knee) to a torn anterior cruciate ligament two weeks ago, forcing them to sign Kenny Vaccaro. Safety Kendrick Lewis (foot) left the preseason game Saturday with a foot injury, and S Steven Terrell (groin) was missing in practice Monday due to a groin issue which is not believed to be serious. The team re-signed DB Josh Kalu for depth. Rookie S Dane Cruikshank (shoulder) returned to practice for the first time since injuring his shoulder in a preseason game Aug. 9. The Titans are a fringe DST in fantasy leagues of 12 or more teams, but they could slip if they have more injuries among the secondary.
