6 years agoNationals starting pitcher Max Scherzer was outdueled by Phillies starter Aaron Nola on Thursday. Scherzer allowed two runs on two hits over seven innings, while Nola shutout Washington over eight. Scherzer did not have that bad of a night despite walking four batters. He managed to strike out 10 and keep Washington in the game as long as he could, it just wasn't a good night for the Nats' bats. Scherzer's next start comes this upcoming Tuesday at Philadelphia, once again against Aaron Nola.--Kev Mahserejian - RotoBaller
