6 years agoAtlanta Braves starter Sean Newcomb cruised to his 11th victory of the season on Wednesday against the Miami Marlins. Newcomb tossed six scoreless innings, allowing just two hits and three walks while striking out eight batters. After allowing a combined 13 runs in his previous two starts, this outing was a nice change of pace for the 25-year-old. He now has a 3.57 ERA on the season to go along with a 1.29 WHIP and 8.36 K/9. While he is prone to the occasional meltdown, Newcomb warrants enough fantasy value to be owned in leagues with 10 or more teams.
