Baker Mayfield Disappointed In Himself
6 years agoCleveland Browns quarterback Baker Mayfield said Friday that he was "disappointed" in himself after Thursday's preseason game against the Philadelphia Eagles. He did lead one scoring drive in his five series, resulting in a 54-yard field goal by Zane Gonzalez. "Not my best game by any means," Mayfield said. "Whenever you turn the ball over, it is not your best. Disappointed in myself. I got in there with the first team and have to get the ball out quicker. Not my best work at all." He entered the game earlier than planned when starter Tyrod Taylor dislocated the pinkie finger on his left hand. He completed eight of his 12 passes, but was picked off, sacked twice and had a dismal 49.3 QB rating. He'll open on the bench as the understudy to Taylor, thus negating any fantasy value in redraft leagues.
