6 years agoWashington Redskins running back Adrian Peterson will get his first chance to show what he can do in the preseason game against the Denver Broncos on Friday, just days after joining the organization. Head coach Jay Gruden said he isn't sure how much Peterson will work, but he is anxious to see what 'All Day' can do in a game. Peterson was signed Monday and practiced both Tuesday and Wednesday, while also going through a walk-through on Thursday. "He's been great as far as his personality is concerned. Looks in great shape. Strong, physical. So we'll see; I think it will translate positively," Gruden said. Peterson wants to start in Week 1, but he has work to do. For now, he is a late-round addition in fantasy leagues with room to grow.--Daniel Dobish
