Adrian Peterson Looks Sharp In Team Debut
6 years agoWashington Redskins running back Adrian Peterson carried 11 times for 56 yards in his team debut on Friday night in the preseason loss against the Denver Broncos. His head coach Jay Gruden was happy with the debut. "I was impressed with Adrian, the way he ran," Gruden said. Peterson just signed on Monday and had only two practices and a walk-through under his belt, so the performance was particularly impressive considering his limited knowledge of the playbook. The veteran said he wanted to be the starting tailback in Week 1, and after this performance it doesn't look wise to bet against him. He could still be a decent RB3 or flex fantasy option, and his ADP likely jumped a few rounds after the strong performance.
