6 years agoNationals starting pitcher Gio Gonzalez took a loss against the Mets on Friday but looked sharp regardless. The Mets are one of the worst teams in the league against left-handed pitching, so it was a bit of a cakewalk for Gonzalez. Nevertheless, allowing only one run over seven innings is commendable. The Nationals' lefty has struggled of late and needed this pick-me-up badly. His next start comes against the Phillies in Philly on Wednesday where he will look to keep this positive momentum flowing.--Kev Mahserejian - RotoBaller
