6 years agoCleveland Browns cornerback Denzel Ward suffered what appeared to be a serious back injury in the third preseason game against the Philadelphia Eagles. Luckily, it turned out to be just a bout with a back spasms and he has returned to the practice field. His defensive coordinator Gregg Williams chastised the rookie, and said the team wants to get him to change his technique. "I was glad to hear (it wasn't serious) and maybe he'll finally listen to me and stop doing those stupid things the way he's trying to tackle and tackle the way I tell him to tackle and he won't get hurt," Williams said. Ward is a big part of the defensive turnaround in Cleveland, but the Browns DST is still just a low-end No. 2 option in most fantasy formats entering the regular season.--Daniel Dobish
