Chris Thompson Expected To Play In Opener
6 years agoWashington Redskins running back Chris Thompson (leg) is expected to be ready for the regular season opener on Sept. 9 against the Arizona Cardinals. He has missed time during the preseason due to a leg injury, and head coach Jay Gruden said the plan all along was to take it slow. He said Monday that Thompson looked "really good" in practice. Early in the month there were reports Thompson might not be fully healthy until November due to a broken fibula suffered in Nov. 2017. His workload won't be taxing early on, especially after adding Adrian Peterson to the mix. Thompson is only worth a look in the middle to late rounds of PPR formats.
