7 years agoOakland Athletics starting pitcher Sean Manaea (shoulder) has been diagnosed with rotator cuff tendinitis and has been shut down indefinitely. The team is hoping he can pitch again this year, but there's the possibility that he won't make it back. Manaea has been great for Oakland this year, going 12-9 with a 3.59 ERA, 1.08 WHIP and 6.0 K/9 across 27 starts. It's a big loss for his fantasy owners and the A's rotation as they make a push to win the division/earn a wild-card spot. At this point, if you don't have the room it'd be wise to drop Manaea in redraft leagues for healthier options.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
