7 years agoChicago Cubs starting pitcher Mike Montgomery (shoulder) has been activated from the 10-day disabled list in order to start against the Braves on Thursday. Pitchers Alec Mills and James Norwood have been optioned to Triple-A Iowa in corresponding moves. The left-handed Montgomery has been decent as a deep league streaming option this year, going 4-4 with a 3.62 ERA and 1.34 WHIP in 13 starts. He doesn't strike many out, though, and is a risky option in his return against the first-place Braves. Mills wasn't very good in his two spot starts and isn't a fantasy commodity.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
