7 years agoChicago Cubs shortstop Addison Russell (shoulder, hand) has improved enough that he could be ready for limited duty if he's activated from the disabled list on Saturday when rosters expand. Russell has been bothered by a hand injury all year, which have really hurt his overall numbers. With Daniel Murphy now the starting second baseman and Javier Baez shifting to the 6, Russell might just be a late-inning defensive substitute down the stretch.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
