Ronald Jones II Unimpressive Yet Again
6 years agoTampa Bay Buccaneers rookie running back Ronald Jones II continued to struggle Thursday against the Jaguars. Jones rushed 10 times for just four yards. This puts his preseason total at 28 rushes for 22 yards and one touchdown. Jones II has done nothing but tank his draft stock in August and it looks like he may start going undrafted in the next couple of days. The only silver lining is taking some of his runs Thursday into context. There were multiple occasions in the game where Jones II was hit well behind the line of scrimmage against a very talented Jaguars second team that includes former first-round picks Dante Fowler Jr and Taven Bryan. Along with that, from what it seems, his offensive line did him no favors as they bumped into him in the backfield on a few plays. Regardless of Jones II's luck, he has not shown enough to merit his early August ADP and will deservedly slide in drafts.
