6 years agoThe Cincinnati Bengals are signing quarterback Christian Hackenberg to their practice squad, a source said Sunday. The signal caller, who failed to make the Philadelphia Eagles' 53-man roster this summer, has experience with offensive coordinator Bill Lazor and some familiarity with Jim Haslett, as he was a consultant at Penn State back in 2005 when Hackenberg was in college. It will be interesting to see if this change of scenery and the familiarity with some coaches is what is needed to get Hackenberg's pro career going.--Daniel Dobish
