7 years agoNew York Mets catcher Devin Mesoraco (back, neck) left the game early on Monday due to neck and back stiffness. Mesoraco had a single in his two plate appearances and appeared to hurt himself on his swing during his single. The backstop is batting just .213 with 10 home runs and 29 RBI on the season. It's unclear how much time he might have to miss, but Kevin Plawecki would likely be the starter for however long Mesoraco is out.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
