6 years agoBoston Red Sox starter Rick Porcello allowed one run on two hits through five innings in Tuesday's 5-1 win over the Atlanta Braves. Porcello struck out five batters while walking one en route to his 16th win of the season. This was a nice bounce-back performance from the 29-year-old, as Porcello had a 5.11 ERA through six starts in August. He remains a core piece of the Red Sox rotation and is a good source of wins, although his ratios can sometimes be a bit troublesome. Red Sox manager Alex Cora also mentioned that after Porcello's start against the Houston Astros on Sunday, he will be given some extra rest. Those managers that need to roll the dice can start Porcello against the defending World Series champs, but it seems like a good time to leave him on the fantasy bench.--Raymond Harrison - RotoBaller
