Scooter Gennett's Two Homers Not Enough Tuesday
6 years agoCincinnati Reds second baseman Scooter Gennett went 2-for-4 with two solo homers in his team's 7-3 loss to the Pittsburgh Pirates on Tuesday. The 28-year-old hit homers in back-to-back innings, taking starter Joe Musgrove deep in the seventh and reliever Kyle Crick out of the yard in the eighth. The big night raises Gennett's slash line to .322/.369/.515 with 22 homers, 82 runs, 84 RBI, and four steals on the year. He will look to keep it going on Wednesday against Pirates starter Jameson Taillon.
