6 years agoAtlanta Braves shortstop Dansby Swanson (head) is not in Wednesday's starting lineup, but Braves manager Brian Snitker said the 24-year-old will be available off of the bench if need be. This bodes well for Swanson, as he was drilled in the helmet by a pitch in Tuesday's game. It seems that he luckily avoided a possible concussion. Swanson is having his best season to date but is only fantasy viable in NL-only leagues. In his absence, Charlie Culberson will be starting at short and batting eighth against Hector Velazquez and the Red Sox. Culberson has performed well in limited appearances this season with a .282 average, 10 homers, and 37 RBI through 248 at-bats.
