6 years agoMinnesota Vikings quarterback Kirk Cousins will be looking to prove himself in the Week 1 matchup with the San Francisco 49ers. Cousins has been a consistent fantasy performer over the past three seasons, and now he is at the helm of the best offense he has ever played with. The 49ers allowed the 12th most fantasy points to opposing quarterbacks last season. Although the team added Richard Sherman in free agency, he has looked more like a weak spot than an upgrade at this point. Aside from learning a new offense, Cousins could be hindered by a mediocre offensive line, but that should be bearable in Week 1. The 49ers were 26th in the league in sacks (30) in 2017, and 23rd in pressure rate on opposing QBs (30.5%). Cousins should find enough time in the pocket to expose an average 49er secondary with the plethora of offensive weapons at his disposal.
