6 years agoAtlanta Braves closer A.J. Minter gave up a two-run homer to Brandon Phillips in the top of the ninth inning during Wednesday's 9-8 loss to the Boston Red Sox. Those would go on to be the winning runs and dropped Minter's record to 4-3 on the season. It was not a save opportunity, as Minter entered the game in the eighth inning after Brad Brach blew the lead. Minter still has a solid 3.31 ERA on the season as well as a 63/18 K/BB ratio and 12 saves. He is still the go-to guy for the Braves in the ninth inning and is a strong source of saves for the next couple of weeks. The situation may change once Arodys Vizcaino (shoulder) comes back at the end of September, but Minter remains the one to own for now.--Raymond Harrison - RotoBaller
