Carlos Hyde Sets Up As An RB3 In Week 1
6 years agoCleveland Browns running back Carlos Hyde will make his first regular season start for a team other than the San Francisco 49ers on Sunday. Hyde, and the Browns, will welcome the Pittsburgh Steelers to Cleveland for the season opener. Hyde held off rookie running back Nick Chubb for the starting role in the backfield during the preseason, although he still projects to lose most of the passing work to third-down back Duke Johnson. That will limit Hyde's weekly upside if he doesn't score a touchdown, especially in PPR leagues. Hyde can be treated as a low-end RB3/flex play for Week 1. Don't hesitate to leave him on the bench if you have better options.
