7 years agoUpdating a previous report, New York Giants defensive end Olivier Vernon (ankle) has officially been ruled out for Week 1 against the Jaguars. Vernon didn't practice all week and was never a realistic option to play while dealing with a high ankle sprain. He may be questionable for Week 2 as well. Without Vernon, the team's best pass rusher, Jaguars quarterback Blake Bortles is a more interesting two-QB play.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
